Follow in the footsteps of Heroes
on our In The Footsteps® of
Bomber Command in Lincolnshire
Lincolnshire proudly calls itself Bomber County. In the Second World War, there were 46 airfields within
the county boundary, many flying the big bombers of Bomber Command.
We are pleased to offer a tour following in the footsteps of Bomber Command in Lincolnshire. This tour
can also be tailored to look at the Dambusters or even the part played by Empire and/or Allied Air
Forces.
Our recommended accommodation for your tour is the Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa. This is a great
location that is connected to our tours and was requisitioned by the RAF for use as the Officers' Mess
for the squadrons at RAF Woodhall Spa. The hotel is very aware of its history and there are a few bits
and pieces in the hotel that you can look at in your free time.
